Emagic suggested that I needed to update the CD/DVD driver I personally haven't had this problem, but apparently there is a known conflict with the laterCD/DVD driver extension and the Akai conversion in the EXS. I believe the soloution is to temporarily disable the CD/DVD driver, or to revert to an earlier version. I use OS 9.0.4 with version 1.3.5 of the driver with no problems.
