[EXS24] in [LAW] new HDD changes Sample-Root

2002-03-21 by timbooksto

Hello!

Sure, I think my problem was discussed before, cause it's
fundamental, but I didn't find anything about it in the Archives.

My Problem:

I'm using LAW5.0 with the EXS, using the Sampler Instruments Dir in
the Logic-Root for the Instrument-Files. The corresponding .wav
& .aif files are located on an special SCSI-HDD, named usualy 'D'.
Now, I mounted another IDE-Drive, which results in changing the EXS-
HDD-Letter from 'D' to 'E'. Now Logic needs minutes to load even one
Song, by searching for every single Instruments Wav-Files. (I 'told'
Logic, only to search in Drive 'E', but it even takes too much time
this way).

So, this is my Question:

Does anybody know something about the Structure of these
Instrument.exs Files, in order to change the Root of all Samples of
my EXS-Instruments from D to E? Or is there a Workaround?!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
