EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hello Helpers

I am been having heaps of fun with this exs24 but due to being human
the first thing I did was push it the the limit, heaps of instruments
and effect bla bla, and to my surprise all the things people told me
about virtual instruments being expensive on cpu resources were
correct:-)

So I was hoping someone could give me a rough estimate on what level
of performance I should be getting out of LAP 8.1 running on win2000
(fine) Audiophile 24/96 soundcard, 450 processor and 500 ram. How many
exs24 instruments should I be able to run?Because at the moment my
system struggles with 3 upwards.

Some tips would be great, or at least somewhere I can find tips on
such issues?

Also how do I extend the virtual memory associated the the exs24?

While I'm afraid I can't give you any performance tips with 
Windows (anyone else?), I can tell you that you should be able to 
get more out of logic and the EXS24 than this. I'm running Logic 
4.8.1 on a Mac G3 450mhz with only 256mb ram and I can run 
loads of instances of the EXS24 just fine. I'm sure someone on 
this group can assist you.
