LAMP , EXS + channel splitter + mapped inst.....

LAMP , EXS + channel splitter + mapped inst.....

2002-03-27 by Malcolm Payne

Hi guys,

Could someone explain the technique for cabling a mapped instrument and a
channel splitter to multiple EXS's, in order to play different EXS's (with
different output assignments) at the same time?

As I've never used mapped instruments before, a brief description of how to
set that up would be very helpful, i.e.If I want a kick sound on one EXS on
note C1, and a snare sound on a second EXS on note D1, what exactly do I
program into the mapped instrument?

Thanks in advance

The output channels. You dont need to do anything else. Open the
mapped instr and set the prefered output channel of each key. Then
cable mapped instr to cha splitter and then to the audio instr (exs)
channels.

Hope it works out.

I have not tried this at all.

Sorry, but that's not possible so far.
Wait for Logic 5.2 which most likely will offer individual outs for
individual EXS instruments. Right now only one instrument is realtime
playable, so the cabling/splitter approach will only work on playback.

Hi Malcolm,
I haven't been able to without the delay. Multi outs is coming.
