EXS Factory Sounds and Logic 5.1

EXS Factory Sounds and Logic 5.1

2002-04-09 by andre2u2000

Hi All,

I just received my Factory Sounds disks from Emagic
First, they sent me 2 disks and they are the same(Volume 2 Factory
Sounds CD). Second, I bought the EXS software before I received my
LAPW 5.0 & Logic Control so the EXS sat on the shelf. Once my 5.0
and LC arrived I loaded the 5.0 and 5.1 (I must say I love my LC) I
tried to install the EXS software but it would not install saying
there wasn't a valid (product or something like that loaded). This
wasn't a problem because I enabled the EXS in the Demo of Logic 5.1.
Oh I have mailed the EXS disk back to Emagic with my 3.5 LAPW cd.

Ok so the questions are;
Was I supposed to get two different disks?
Has anyone with 5.x and the Factory Sounds been able to get the setup
(on the Factory Sounds disks) to install the sounds?

Thanks
Andre2you

I don't think so. I bought EXS24 long ago and only got one CD.

I found this the other day on Infoweb so you're in luck!

Hope this helps

I got two disks. The first one came with the program and ECO
versions of the factory sounds. I got the second one as a
program backup and for the real versions of the sounds after I
registered.

did you really sent back your 3.x CD? there was no need for that.

no.

just install an old version of logic from a else needless disc lying
around at your crib and update to a version around 4.7 (i think this
was the first version supporting exs) via webdownload. you don`t need
the dongle, because you don`t have to run logic, the installer of the
factory sound just seraches for the presence of an exs compatible logic4
version.

I did need to return the 3.5 disk (I upgraded from 3.x to 5.0) I
skipped the 4.x upgrades. This was listed from the instructions from
emagic.

Thanks for the reply
