LucyTuning Experiments - three beta testers needed.
2002-06-17 by Charles Lucy
I have been continuing with my EXS microtuning experiments, but using
samples to which I do not own the I.P. rights.
I am now looking for beta testers, who would be prepared to experiment
using their own samples.
I will send the first three respondees, the .exs files to which they can
attach their own samples.
To make this work correctly, the samples need to be accurately tuned
before being used.
I found tuning errors in the commercial samples which I had been using,
and had to compensate for the errors, or adjust the original samples.
To make this work as precisely as possible, with the [("lame") only to
the nearest cent] values available from EXS, requires two zones for
every single note to be used.
Nevertheless the effect is stunningly obvious.
i.e. a total of ((12*8) + 1)*2 = (97*2) = 194 different tuning zones.
To which users need to connect the appropriate samples.
Any ideas of an easier way for users to do this would be appreciated;-)
