Heya - not sure if it would help or not but you should try checking out Exs
Manager http://www.arcanoise.com/ExsManager/index.htm

Thx jeremy, I will try it :o)
I was thinking an option was available in the EXS directly when it cannot
find the samples...
on Mac it search automatically the samples (?) but when I tried on my PC
friend, nothing happened ...strange...

Thx

I wish I could help more but I still don't even have EXS yet :-(
If I remember right, the EXS Manager can help the .exs files locate the
samples, so that Logic/EXS doesn't have to do any searching at all.

I'm pretty sure EXS is *supposed* to search for missing samples itself
(since I've read you can have .exs files in one directly all by themself
with all the .wav/.aif/etc files in a separate directory, even on another
harddrive)... not sure why your friend's EXS didn't try searching itself.
:-(

There's only two occasions when the EXS won't find a sample over here (on
PC):
- The samples don't exist. This eventually can't be fixed easily...
- In the preferences, a wrong drive is specified. Just to be on the safe
site, set it to "Local Volumes", then it will search all drives, including
CD ones.

[exs] Tuning modulated by velocity + an editor question

2002-06-26 by Brock

I think maybe I’m missing something. How do I modulate pitch with velocity?
I want to slightly raise the pitch of a drum sample as I hit the key harder.

On another note, in the editor is it possible to change the same parameter
across multiple zones simultaneously? It seems like if I select multiple
zones I should be able to do this (as with object attributes in the
arranger).

Thanks,
-Brock

Audio track pitching

2002-06-26 by HELP@MusicBootCamp.com

Is there any way to automate pitch changes on a standard audio track? It's
annoying to have to build an EXS kit every time I want to automate pitch on
a vocal track. I suspect there is no way to do this... Jer

You can only do that globally using the "Pitcher" from the EXS GUI. Note:
Glide needs to be pulled up to activate it at all.
If you need such a function in a more advanced way, check FXpansions DR-008
(PC only) or Native Instrument's Battery. They both offer such a function on
a per note base.

Only possible with "one shot" on/off. Bummer, I know.

Thanks Sascha. It’s the glide thing I was missing.
