Re: [exs] input latency w/laptops

Hi there, I'm a laptop user and until today I've had very bad input latency as well. BUT you laptop users out there using a VX pocket need to download the latest AISO driver for the VXpocket...2.60. It has a new option that lets you vary the amount of latency. Set to it's lowest setting...A huge improvment. And yes playback is spot on. Cheers julie

Latency is entirely dependent on you computer I/O and Hammerfall makes the best interface for minimal latency (essentially measurable by the ear). Compare? Of course. Don't use an EXS with a laptop for live shows. MIDI input latency is not too good. Output is impeccable. > From: mbhelmich@... > Reply-To: exs-users@egroups.com > Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2001 21:58:02 -0000 > To: exs-users@egroups.com > Subject: [exs] Re: Advise needed on purchase sampler > > Could someone please comment on my question??? > > -- In exs-users@egroups.com, mbhelmich@c... wrote: >> Do I buy an EXS, AKAI S5000 or EMU E-6400???? >> >> The thing I want most of a sampler is timming precicion and a >> function like Recycle.
