It sounds like you will need the EXS authorized on both machines at the same
time. You'd need two separate licenses for the EXS. With the XSkey, it will
only run on one machine at a time. Amd of course the beige G3's don't have
USB ports. You'd need a PCI card for it. If you want to use v.5 on the main
machine, you'll need to send your CD back to Emagic. So installing a CD
drive on the G3 wouldn't even be an option. You'd need two licenses either
way.

How would you sync up the two machines? Would you network them to get the
midi data from one machine to the other? Also, keep in mind that if you end
up running v. 5 on one and v. 4.x on the other, you'll have a file mangement
nighmare since the two versions use different file formats.
