best for live/acoustic drums?

best for live/acoustic drums?

2002-07-30 by tvp

can anyone give me their two cents worth of suggestions for great sample
cds--for acoustic/real drums? (including loops or with groove control would
be helpful). anything over the last year or two? (as i have stuff from the
liquid/buring grooves and the first skippy's timeframe...)

many thanks.

Without a doubt
1)Backbeat 2)RetroFunk 3) Stark Raving Beats.
Money well spent.
I would suggest NOT to buy.
1)Return To Planet Of The Breaks.
2)Chameleon Drums 3)Drum Necessities
Money down the drain. My opinion only.

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of the Peter Erskine disk. It's pretty
old, but the recordings are very natural--very adaptable. And
Backbeat must be awesome--I did half an album with the two or
three outtake loops that were posted free on Spectrasonic's site.

I'm looking at Stylus for my next "drum CD" purchase. It costs
about as much as two sample CD sets, but has a ton of GC
loops.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
