There's a new snare in town

G-Town, that is! Very realistic snare, with lots of ambience (church), and 
mucho velocity layers (16-deep?). Free from Tobias at G-Town. Get the .gig 
file here:

Warning, it's a 39 meg download.

The sampling world needs DIY people like Tobias!

For one snare? That has to be some kind of record. Dare I ask - is it 24
bit?

I don't think they're 24 bit, but all of the samples on the GTown 
site sound great. As good, if not better than some commercial sample 
libraries.

I think the size is due to the large number of variations in drum 
hits, plus the reverb is fairly massive :)

When I click on link, I get a bunch of cryptics...letters,numbers etc...I'm 
on a Mac...is this only for pc? or is there a way.....there's a will...mn

Same trouble here on PC. I also tryed to download it with GetRight, but with no luck. I tryed both the link in earlier post and directly from the webpage.

If you're on Windows, right click and choose "Save target as",
works fine here.

I am also on PC. I had same trouble in GetRight. 
I can get the files on that site by right clicking and choosing "Save target
as".
