Yes!
We are working on OSX/AU platform and we've decided that this will be a free
update for each of our Spectrasonics Virtual Instruments (Stylus, Atmosphere
and Trilogy)
(gee we're nice...huh?)
The timetable for this update is not yet known. Keep in mind that Emagic
doesn't even actually support Audio Units yet either! They've only announced
that they will, and there are no Audio Units out there yet. Everyone is
waiting on Apple to release the AU 2.0 spec.
We should have a timetable in place to announce at AES hopefully. Believe me
that it takes more than a couple of hours, contrary to our good friend Dr.
Lengling in Hamburg. There are a lot of issues for every developer to
consider and address in supporting any new platform....but we are committed
to OSX/AU...especially with Steinberg signed on to AU support in Cubase SX
now too. Waiting to see what MOTU will do.....
BTW, Atmosphere is nearly complete and it is WAY cooler than we even planned.
We'll have some very exciting announcements about how it has evolved soon.
I'm really proud of how it has come out, and I think those of you that check
it out will be really blown away at how it sounds and how powerful it
is....there's really nothing else on the market like this!
OK, that's enough hoopla for the moment, but I just had to say something
about how awesome it is coming out and that it will be more than worth the
wait.
Thanks for your interest folks, all the best.
