I had the same problem with Platinum verb & PC AV on my Win2000 laptop. I solved the problem by setting Prosess buffer range = Large

  Tried solving the problem with setting Process buffer Range
  to large and rebooting Logic.
  Still didn't work.
  I'm at loss...

I have you have recently updated logic. The new logic might not have gotten
your old memory prefs.

Do  a get info on the application. Check out if you have too much or not
enough ram allocated.

Also, it sounds like your most recent upgraded version might physically
somehow have gotten separated from the rest of the Logic resource files that
it now (since v 5) needs to see in order to boot properly. Is it in the same
directory as all your older Logic versions which should be at the same level
as the "res" folder that contains all the res.shl files?
