Theremax Theremin

2002-09-10 by Jo & Lj Garrett

Hi

I just added an instrument I made on the weekend to the files area.

It is simple and probably doesnt sound too much like a theremin, but its a hard instrument to emulate with a keyboard instrument. Id suggest using a lot of pitch bend. Possibly also use the mod wheel to fade in the volume etc to make it more authentic.

regards
LjGarrett

There's a terrific theremin sound in the ES-1. While I'm no expert on it's
authentic quality, it works well for my intended uses. I don't remember if
it's a stock sound or a patch that I installed later.

I doubt it helps many, but theres a really great Theramin patch (named
Theramous) on the Access Virus OS4.5 patch collection - I keep going back to
play with it because its so fun. On a related note, if you have any basic
electronics skill, you can get theramin kits for about 30 quid which are
much more fun. Also MIDI theramins are nutty controllers!
