EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I haven't been paying attention to the messages recently - could someone
clarify: - these gig files are they for Gigasampler? where are they - and
more importantly those who can't open them are using macs - has gigasampler
appeared for mac?!

This is all the info we get from Emagic. It's part of their 5.2 update info:

"The EXS24 can now import files stored in the Gigasampler format (.gig). 
This function is found in the 'Options' menu of the EXS24. Tip: In order to 
playback long audio files, the EXS24 Virtual Sample Memory extension should 
be installed."

These files are originally made for another sampler, Gigasampler or 
GigaStudio (I'm not an expert on this format). Where are they? Try visiting 
the sample cd section of Northern Sounds: 
http://www.northernsounds.net/store/enter.html

I use a Mac G4 with OS 9.2.2, and I can open .gig files.

There is no news at this time of GigaSampler being ported over to Macs.

No but the EXS-24 now converts gig files to EXS instruments much in the same
way as it does SF2 or Akai format instruments.
