Via Akai samples into Phatmatic?

Via Akai samples into Phatmatic?

2002-09-17 by lastmongulwarrior

Just bought Phatmatic. The only way i can load samples into
it's slice editor is via the Akai samples folder.
The Akai folder doesn't hold all my EXS24 samples, though.
The Sampler instrument folder does but it won't let me access samples
into PhP's slice editor.
Should i delete and reinstall all my sample cd's in order to
get all my samples into the Akai folder?
I have a seperate folder for an "Xtreem Analog" sample cd i
bought and via this seperate folder i can access all it's contents
too!(it's EXS24 format).
How come i can't access PhP via Sampler Instruments folder?
Is reinstalling my sample library inevitable?
How does the EXS24 folder structure apply to PhP?
What did i forgot to think off?

Thanx in advance!

Don't know the answer to your problem, but if you want to move your
samples (not the exs-instruments!), you can simply move them, period.
No need to delete & reinstall. First time you load the associated
instrument in the EXS, the EXS will spend some time looking for the
samples, but they will be found eventually.

To fix this waiting-time issue, you might want to set up a midi
command for "next EXS instrument", insert the midi command in a small
arrange-sequence assigned to the EXS, loop it, and have it run for a
few hours, so the EXS will have loaded all your instruments once (and
updated the .exs files in the process).
