[OFF] - Silent Racks for Computers?

[OFF] - Silent Racks for Computers?

2002-09-19 by Mark Lewno

Ok, I've got a need to put a bunch of Xserves into a rack. It doesn't need
to be totally soundproof, but I need to cut down on the unreal amount of
noise these things make.

I'm hoping someone on the list has come across a rack or computer cabinet
that reduces the noise from your computer to the room it's in.

Any help?

TIA

Mark

Have you checked out IsoBox Noise Isolation 16U Rack?
- I saw it advertised at Jigsaw digital tools (www.jigsaw24.com)
the only down side is it costs £1300.

The ones used in most pro recording studios are made here in
Nashville, TN by Sound Construction. They run about $1000 -
$1300 as well.

There are also models made by Raxxess and are slightly
cheaper:
