Try going to http://www.breakbeatsonly.co.uk. They have a good selection,
and have RX2 files and WAV, though a few rx2 files seem screwed (don't know
why).
On this note though, I have a problem that my system crashes sometimes when
I'm just trying to import rx2 files into an Audio track. This doesn't happen
every time, but when it does, the whole system hangs and I need a total
re-boot. About every fifth rx2 file I try to import...
This is on a WinXP Pro - service pack1 - PIV - 512mb RAM and AW2 card.
Any ideas anyone ? Can a rogue rx2 files cause a total system crash ???
cheers
Matt

Subject: [exs] REX Files and the Keyboard Mag Tip
I'm new to the ESX24 (thanks to those that helped me get it working
correctly!). A comment, then two questions:
I went to the Los Angeles "Emagic Essentials" tour on 10/29/02 (West
LA music). I found it very interesting. They demonstrated the
ability to load REX files and then randomize them in the Transformer
(very cool). This same thing tip is in Keyboard Mag this month. I'd
suggest for those that haven't seen this neat trick to give it a
try. For me, it has really spiced up a few tracks.
I know that there are CDROM's out there that have REX files on them
(I know this because I bought one this weekend to test on to load and
use a REX file!). Now the first question - any reccommendations for
REX file CDROM's for drums? I'd be happy with a hip-hop, R&B or rock
style (a jazz style would be very helpful too).
The other question is: What is a very good piano sample that can be
loaded into the ESX24?
