[LUG] [GEN] EXS: squigly line between cutoff and res

[LUG] [GEN] EXS: squigly line between cutoff and res

2002-11-25 by Hendrik Jan Veenstra

Anyone notice the squigly line between the cutoff and resonance knobs
in the EXS (both mkI and mkII)? It's a kind of joystick: vertical
movement = cutoff, horizontal = resonance. Silly, but I never
noticed it before... Just thought someone might be interested...

Saw the hieroglyph too, put my finger on it but no stone would reveal a
secret place. It takes a real explorer to read the signs properly ;-)

Hi all

The hieroglyph-meaning is revealed in the manual, I was browsing
through it yesterday and bingo! It´s meant for simultaneous control
of both knobs when click-holding with the mouse (Cutoff &reso), when
you move your mouse sideways the other moves and when up&down the
other one. And yes, to move both together click hold in the 1:30
direction for example.
Where could I possibly use this is another thing? Any ideas?

it sure is a grey and miserable looking outside here in Finland,
waiting for the sunshine.......

Yes, it's defenitely mentioned in the manual - I think it'd make the most
sense in an automation context, especially if you got no external MIDI
controller.

Erm - waiting here too, guess we'll have to wait for some more months. No
real winter either (and nothing like that to expect), just grey, wet and
close above 0\ufffdC.
Uhm, and all that without any holidays in the sun (this year that is).
