Do you have a complete 'FM' of EXS24 mkII to read?
I have all original Logic manuals and an EXS24 burned in my USB dongle. The
5.0 addendum says there's a PDF describing the new functions 'on the cd-rom'
but I didn't find it on the LAW5 cd-rom and I don't have a newer EXS24
cd-rom.
The PDF about MKII that comes with LAW5.5 it is not very extensive. There's
nothing about Giga import (guess that was in the read me histiry) is added,
but no details. Why are release samples not converted by EXS24II and is this
function going to be
added ?. I converted a giga library (form Biggagiggas) with
CDXtract and tweaked the release samples. Fortunately they were made a
second group that could be easily switched to note release. Had to find out
by trial and error though that the checkbox on the right had to be ticked
and the ms box is the time for release samples to sound.

Is this all documented somewehere? I've been using EXS24 from the start but
it's becoming more difficult to collect all information about additions in
one place. The RTFM-argument is not legitimate anymore because there *is* no
complete manual to read!

Emagic: why not make a PDF availble with *all* functions for registred users
only. Download after entering personal XS-code.

Wow, I didn't realise a little pointer like the one I made could ever 
make such impact...
Alright, I must admit the Emagic manuals are always a pain, but 
basics such as building an exs instrument are described 
thoroughly I think....

That's a really fine idea!!
It means that Emagic will have yet another excuse to delay SoundDiver 
though.......  :-(

I think I have the same problem you do.
I have the Volume 3/2002 installer disk and there is no EXS24 
help file to be found anywhere. I've contacted emagic about this, 
but haven't gotten an answer back yet.
Could someone post it here if they have it? (I'm referring to the 
Apple help file).

Howdy, y'all,
Here is a link to "EXS24 Update Manual," Version 1.0, June 2001, 
which is the PDF file mentioned on page 144 of the Logic 5 Reference 
Addendum.  All of the listed topics are covered in this manual 
except "ReCycle/REX format Sample Import."  But that topic is covered 
on pages 145-147 right there in the Addendum (although please note 
that it has the MAC-only icon in the margin).

Maybe you can help me with a couple of EXS24 documentation issues:

1) I wonder if you would post "The PDF about MKII that comes with 
LAW5.5..." for me -- or tell me how to get it from the 5.5.0 ZIP file 
it without loading 5.5.0.  I don't want to load 5.5.0 until I find 
out what's up with the negative comments about it on the LUG list, 
but I do want to look at the EXS24 features list.

2) I bought the 4.x.x to 5.3.0 upgrade but forgot to download its 
Update-Info file from emagic.de.  Now only the Update-Info for 5.5.0 
is up there, and that file does not cover 5.1.x.  Do you have any 
info on 5.1.x?

One last question:  What do _you_ think about the quality of the 
5.5.0 release (compared to 5.3.0, which I'm on right now)?
