maybe this question was already asked

I have some AKAI CD and I'm not satisfied how EXS handle
conversion.
So I ask is Translator or CDextract better

Which aspects were you unhappy with?
If it's the EXS's conversion of Akai velocity-cross-faded patches 
into cruder velocity-switched versions, EXS has now finally gained 
the ability to do xfading. I don't know if the import facility has 
been updated to take that into account, but if not, it seems to be 
fairly quick to add crossfadng to a "switched" patch.
