Stupid Search-Routine if i change Wave-File-Locations

2002-12-18 by marcust67 <marcust@web.de>

Hi Guys!

Is there a fast possibility to change the Wave-File Path within the
EXS-Files without starting the boring search routine?

I know the Preset-Option "Search on this Harddisk e.g." - but it´s
still much too slow.

Are there any tools?

Thanx and keep the groove!

Marcus

No, not as far as I know. If you have a loop (sequence) with a midi
command that loads the next EXS instrument, and leave that running
overnight, the problem will be fixed, without any boredom involved.
You gotta make sure there are no 2 samples with identical names
though, since otherwise the EXS will halt with a dialog asking which
one to use. Annoying if the next morning you find that only 2
instruments have been processed :-).

From what I know the EXS will only ask if the files are indeed identical,
not only by their names.
So, if you have a "clone/orphan checker" you can safely delete all 100%
identical samples and proceed as you described.
