[exs] Qmk 1.1 is available for download

[exs] Qmk 1.1 is available for download

Dear fellow EXS'ers,

Sorry for the OT, but this might interest some of you:

It's taken some time, but finally the next version of Qmk is there.
Now the ultimate "turn your Mac keyboard into a MIDI controller"
application offers even more features.

In order not to bother you with long-winded messages, here is a short
description of the new features. The downloadable archive contains a
more comprehensive overview of all that has changed.

1. A few (mostly minor) bugs were fixed, including bad fader redraws
when the Qmk application was brought to the front.

2. You can now use modifier keys (option and control) to influence
MIDI note-on velocity in realtime.

3. The Transpose has now a +/- 3 octave range (used to be +/- 1
octaves). The Transpose setting is saved in the Preferences file, so
you don't have to keep re-adjusting Qmk's Transpose setting across
sessions.

4. The Custom Messages have been extended. You can now include
multiple value-commands (V) instead of just one. There's also a new
command which lets you insert a user-definable delay-time in the
middle of a message. It's main purpose is to allow e.g. sequencers
to "catch up" in case you send them a string of MIDI commands. There
are other uses though - 2 silly (or funny?) examples are included in
the new Custom Messages file that are included in the download.

5. The speed with which Qmk polls the keyboard is now adjustable.
This might improve latency (depending on your system).

6. An interesting new Keyboard Set, called "Plurry", was added to the
presets. Read about it in the docs you find in the archive.

As always system requirements are:
- Macintosh, with OS 9.x
- Opcode's OMS (download link on the Qmk homepage)

There's no OS X version, and I don't know if there ever will be one.
Not in the foreseeable future at least, sorry.

Download Qmk 1.1 from the Qmk homepage today:

happy downloading,
Hendrik Jan

Nice work Hendrik...

If I had a Mac and wasn't making my own controller I'd use it for sure!!

Best...

Dan
