EXS Instrument not found

EXS Instrument not found

2002-12-22 by dix5459 <davedixon@cox.net>

I can't figure this out. I have a certain drum kit/EXS instrument
that when I try and load I am told that this intrument is not found.
I have used it many times in the past with no problems. It appears in
the EXS window, I can see everything in the edit window, I can play
the samples in the edit window, the file exists in the sampler
instruments file, yet EXS won't recognize it to play. Anyone know
what's going on? Using 5.5.

May be corrupted. Do you have a backup of the file?

Have you checked recently to see if the actual files themselves are in
the appropriate sample folders within the "eMagic" or "LogicAudio 5.5"
folder?

within "sampler instrument folder" -- a bunch of .exs files (I suspect
but am not sure that when you can see a sample name in the EXS window
of Logic, there is a pointer to these small files, which themselves
point to the actual sound files)
within "ex samples" folder -- a bunch of folders containing the actual
.aif or .wav files (I suspect but am not sure that the actual sounds
themselves come from these files)

Cheers, Larry

Hi, I'm having the exact same issues as you've indicated below,
except with a different instrument.
Have you resolved it yet? If so what might the fix be?
Boe.
