You need to go into the environment layer, and create a "aux", cable the aux
to that audio instrument channel. Now choose outputs 3-4 or whatever you
want for this new aux channel, and there you go, now you have multi outs!
There are two ways to apply multi outs in the sample editor. You can route
certain samples to different groups that have different outputs, or you can
just route individual samples direct from the sample. Haven't noticed what
the main differences or benefits are, but I have been using different groups
with different outputs personally.
Multi outs from the exs is the greatest thing ever!!!! Especially for drum
kits.
