'ello all, I recently asked around a bit here regarding multiple monitors/Logic and the behaviour of such. Can't say I'm ever gonna be sorry I added a second monitor, but what strikes me is that whatever I try, I can't seem to get plugins opening on my second monitor as standard. ..I know I know, it's not that much hassle each time I open my autoload and a plugin to drag it to the right, but still, just one of those little annoying thingies....Any suggestions welcome, thanx, O.

This is VERY weird. Is your second monitor running off an adapter connected to the new Mac-type port? If so, which brand? And, have you checked your monitor settings to see that the driver is correct for the video card? I've never encountered this and I am a Mac tech as well as a musician. -Jer > 'ello all, > > I recently asked around a bit here regarding multiple > monitors/Logic and the behaviour of such. Open your Autoload, open a plugin from a channel strip. Position it on the second monitor. Now disable the plugin by choosing "No effect" from the channel strip. Save your Autoload. That's it! Also make sure your screenset was not locked while you did this.

Usually you have to uncheck the chainer-icon to achieve this, but if you disable the chainer icon before saving the autoload as described above, the plugins will open with the chainer icon off as default. To me this is very handy, as I like having several plugin-windows open at once. -- helge

Good to know. Hi group,
It´s my first time writing here, so hello to everybody.
I got a problem with organising my samples in EXS.
It seems that EXS can´t see the instruments in the 5th folder. So, how deep
is the folder structure in exs?
I make an example to make clear what I mean.
Logic on Studio HD
-> Sampler Instruments
-> alias of Instruments on Sample HD
Instruments on Sample HD
-> AKAI CDs
-> AKAI CD 01
-> DrumLoops AKAI CD 01
-> DrumLoops 80-89 bpm
-> Instrument 01
-> Instrument 02
-> and so on
-> DrumLoops 90-99 bpm
-> Instrument 01
-> Instrument 02
and so on
EXS can´t see the instruments in the bpm folders. Is there a limitation? Do
I make something wrong.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Achim

Is this also a problem in OSX? Also, is there a limit to the number of instruments in a given folder in OSX? -Jer >>> >> I got a problem with organising my samples in EXS. >>> >> It seems that EXS can´t see the instruments in the 5th folder. French Emagic Support team told me that Logic 6 means " end of limit for number of instruments in EXS24" :-) Hope that's definitly the end of it ! Raf Le jeudi, 27 fév 2003, à 15:13 Europe/Paris, Jer Olsen a écrit :
