VSL when?

VSL when?

2003-03-18 by the noise

does anyone one have any inside info as to when the EXS VSL is out?

time & space are on their normal helpful 'next few weeks' tip that they're
always on, it was supposed to be out the first week of march according to
the VSL website, then after Musikmesse, then... when?

I understand (from the VSL website) it will be in the next week or
so, but then again:
There are 3 kinds of lies - lies, damn lies, and software release dates.

Don't hold your breath

Hi Guy's

VSL should be shipping in the next few weeks, If we (Time+Space) have said
'next few weeks', its because that is all the information we actually have,
and not
because we're just not feeling helpful...
We don't like to publish release dates until we're 100% sure that they will
be shipping on that date, otherwise people complain when the product is
delayed.

So I can only apologise if it feels like it has been a long wait for the EXS
format to be available, We will however put the shipping date up on our
website the instant we are given it.
I will also email it to this forum if anyone is interested.

Regards,

Many of you have asked about the release of the long-awaited
Vienna Symphonic Library's Orchestral Cube in EXS24 mk II
format. The product has already been manufactured, but
unfortunately, after receiving the discs from the pressing facility
and doing one last check before final release, we uncovered
some data loss errors that occurred during the manufacturing
phase. Since releasing a flawed product is not an option, we are
working with the DVD manufacturer to correct the errors and
re-press the discs. We apologize for the delay, but I'm sure
everyone will agree that it's better to wait and release the
library once these problems are corrected. We anticipate
shipping the EXS version to the international distributors by
mid-April, with final availability by month's end.

Best regards,
Martin Tichy, Vienna Symphonic Library
