EXS Editing sux

2003-04-10 by Sumit Das

I downloaded the NS drums EXS instruments somebody (thanks!) put up on
the site, and I noticed that all the zones in the multi-out version were
going
to the main outs. I decided to change them. The only ways I could figure
out to do it were:

   1) Open each zone individually and set its output.
   2) Create some groups, then open each zone individually and set its
group.

I chose option 2, and my clicking finger hurt afterwards! Is there a better
way
to do this? There are a LOT of samples in that instrument! I mean come on,
shouldn't I be able to select a bunch of zones and set parameters for all
of them at once?

Thanks, smeet

Yes, please Emagic give us rubber band selection of samples!
Clicking on each individual sample is ridiculous.

You can rubber band or shift -click multiple zones or groups in
the lower part of the editor.
You can assign multiple selected zones to a group by holding
option and choosing the group in one of the selected zones

I wish the option trick worked for ALL functions though...not just
some ...like the checkboxes.
