akai convert/metamorphosis

akai convert/metamorphosis

2001-03-22 by andy scott

hi kids,
ive converted the spectrasonics disk 'metamorphosis' to exs format and have
landed up with loads of digital clicks on the end points of the groove
control samples. so far ive managed to edit the ends so they're cleaner but
thats hardly an ideal situation. anyone have any experience of this problem?
will this be fixed in........dont-hold-your-breath.....4.7? or is it a
spectrasonics issue?
ive also converted spectrasonics 'retrofunk' cd and have had no problems
with that.
aside from that, wicked grooves eric! thanks...

Andy,

I'm assuming because you've successfully converted Retro that you are
already using the most current version of Logic, so I'm afraid I don't have
any answers. I would suggest calling ilio/spectrasonics, they were very
solution & customer oriented when I got RFunk just after the EXS was
released.

Glad you like it Andy.....

All Akai and Metamorphosis conversion issues are fixed in 4.7....please
reconvert ALL groove control libraries with the new version when it is
released and set the default Akai convert db setting (in 4.7) to 0db....it
sounds MUCH better!

I really do think that they are pretty close now to releasing 4.7 and you all
will be quite happy.

best,

EP

gulp! that ill do, but i have to say, it took me around three days to
convert the 6 new disks i just bought!........still, i only have to cast
my mind back a few years and remember the expense, size, and
downright hassle of everything from out of tune moogs to
behemoth samplers with 0.00674 seconds of memory :-)

4.7 has a dedicated button to convert the entire disc.

--------------

and (im hoping) two extra buttons - one for dispensing wisdom
when the threshold of egotism has exceeded the set amount
(kinda like a personality compressor), and the other for
accessing various bank accounts via the web, and then
deducting 0.001% from said accounts, hourly, and finally to have
said 0.001%'s deposited in the registered users account - any
programmers out there up for it?

ooops, slightly off topic there :P
