You can rubber band or shift -click multiple zones or groups in
the lower part of the editor.
You can assign multiple selected zones to a group by holding
option and choosing the group in one of the selected zones

I wish the option trick worked for ALL functions though...not just
some ...like the checkboxes.

I'm glad you stated this for the sake of the list, but I'm still pining for
drag and drop / rubber band support in the visual window. It's a real hassle
not having that as well as global control over other elements. You know what
would be splendid? Some command that assigned each key with its respective
matching root note for all sing-note samples in the kit. What a time-saver
that would be! There are many other areas that could bear improvement, but
that would sure help. -Jer

I am not 100% sure what you have in mind here but if you want to import a bunch
of samples and have every sample automatically assigned to a single note with
that note as the root note, your prayers have been answered: try "Zone/load
multiple samples" and pick the "drums" or "chromatic" options.

Murray

Already know that. What I mean is... I've got a bunch of samples that have
been pulled in but their keynotes are all screwed up (not drums mind you). I
want to assign the sample keynote to be the same as the key it is on, and I
want to do this for multiple samples at once. A pipedream I know and
certainly not as important as other pressing issues.

OK -- I get you. It would be nice if you could just select a zone and, using a
key command perhaps, hit the appropriate note(s) on your midi controller or on
the editor's keyboard to assign a keynote or the keyrange to the selected zone.
This has been suggested here since the EXS24 first came out getting on for 3
years ago.

M

Well, not so impossible, the NN-XT sampler in Reason 2.0 can do it.

I think a cool way to implement this is to be able to select the
Load Multiple Samples option and then manually arrange the

alphabetically or by keynote. For example, if you load a bunch of
tunes into iTunes and want to burn a CD, you can manually
arrange the sond order. This would be ideal for loading vocal
samples and for drum mapping samples from different folders.

I couldn't agree more. In fact, the chromatic import for OSX is worse than
in OS9. -Jer

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
