moving sample-files

moving sample-files

2003-05-06 by Remco Muntz

I've just bought a new HD on which I want to make one samples-partition
and one audio-partition. Right now I have a partition, which is calles
'audio HD', on which there is an audio-folder and a samples-folder.
When I call the new HD 'audio HD' and rename the old partition to, for
instance 'old audio HD', and I copy the current folders to the new HD,
will everything work just fine? I guess so, because the data-path
hasn't changed.
And is it possible to make two partitions on the new HD, one 'audio'
and one 'samples' partition. Then put the contents of the audio-folder
to the new audio-partition, and the samples-folder to the snew
samples-partition. The audio- and sample-files have now really moved.
Is it possible to let Logic know where the audio- and sample-files have
gone?

Thanks,

Remco
