Sound On Sound magazine summarised the Performance Set as follows:

"The perfect companion to the Orchestral Cube, this enormous volume adds
extra expressive dimensions to the library. It's a worthy addition to VSL
that will be welcomed by all serious orchestral samplists."

It is not likely to make the Orchestral cube redundant.  I suggest you read
the review of both in the May issue of SOS before parting with your money.
