Maximum Groups and Zones

Maximum Groups and Zones

2003-07-08 by Evan Evans

I was copying and pasting zones into a massive EXS24 instrument and noticed that as
I pasted in new zones/groups that it ate up some zones and groups. is there a
maximum number of groups? I am showing 32

is there a maximum number of zones?

Thanks,
Evan Evans

Can anyone give me some insight into the 32 keygroup limitation? I can actually load
more than 32 but only 32 are controllable. The others sound regardless of their
settings.

What more insight do you want? Seems you got it all figured out pretty well...

Well, I'd like to know if it is true. There are only 32 allowable keygroups?
Why are the others listed in the bottom window pane and yet not in the graphical top
pane?
Why does paramater tweaking have no effect on keygroups past 32, and yet they still
sound?
Is there a workaround?
Anyone heard if Emagic is upping this limitation?

But mainle, is there a workaround?

Thanks,
Evan Evans

I'm running Logic 6.1 on Mac OS 10.2.6. I can access and edit more
than 32 keygroups in the EXS Instrument editor. Each parameter that
I alter (such as pan or volume of the keygroup) is updated in real-
time as I make adjustments. I'm not sure why you are able to access
only 32 keygroups. I've never experienced this problem with the
EXS24.
