P for player !

Between the EXS and EXSP there are not many differences.
Between the EXSmkII and the other two, there are lots!!!
Check out the emagic website for more detailed info.
none of these differences affect the EXS instrument editor in Logic Audio, and it is available whether you want it or not!

That editor will only be there if you have the EXS24 -- not the EXSP24.

Correct.

Not correct. The EXSP can't edit/save instruments but only load them
-- hence the "player" part. Only the EXS (mk I or II) can edit/save
instruments.

And saying that there's not much difference between the EXS (mk I)
and the EXSP is a tad misleading too imo. If you only use prefab
instruments, the difference indeed is irrelevant but as soon as you
want to add a zone or layer, or build your own instrument from
scratch, the difference is massive -- in that the one won't allow you
to make such changes/instruments and the other will.

cheers,
HJ, who indeed is back from a splendid holiday in the Czech Republic
