Glenjamin - I actually started with the 15 band eq and was just not get the bottom end I wanted from my tone also I was missing some harmonic overtones that dialed right in after I played with the global eq. I still need to play with it some more but so far I have tried the unit with my PRS standard , Fender HM strat fitted with active humbuckers (Reflex Blues a British firm that long went out of business but made cool active pickups! I got these when back in the 90's) and a RR3, so far I am more then happy with the tone. I need to try my Washburn N2 and Les Paul but figure they should be fine.
Graham - thanks for the info on the MIDIWIZARD function (again I need to spend some time reading the manual!) this is great utility that I need to start using it a lot more. BTW did you set up a website for that yet?

Hey all,
I typically use a flat global EQ except to appease the house sound guy. Hari I would recomment using a added 15 band to your patch and using the wet/ dry mix to dial it the tone then tweek the effects section. Then save it with Grahams MIDIWizzard as backup.
Thanks Graham. Great stuff!

MIDIWizard has a feature for managing different Global EQ settings. You can use this feature to quickly reconfigure your 2101 to accommodate different speaker cabs with different frequency curves. Also, if you change from a guitar with single coil pickups to one with humbuckers, you can reconfigure the Global EQ from MIDIWizard's library so your programs sound good without having to edit each of the programs to accommodate the different pickup response curves.
