Hello Terrell:

Unfortunately, there's no way to add extra "Program Memory" to a GSP-2101. Even if you install the optional PPC-210 card, this does not add Program Memory.

After performing a factory reset, I went through each of the user programs 1 through 100 and simply changed the External FX Loop setting from its default (Bypass) to No Sum. After applying this simple change to about 70 of my user programs, I ran out of Program Memory. So it doesn't take much to run out of Program Memory.

However, you shouldn't need to perform a factory reset to recover from this problem. Of the user programs you have edited, decide which of those you can afford to restore to their factory defaults and copy the corresponding factory program back to its user location. For example, if you can live without your edited program 32, copy factory program 132 back to user program 32. Very soon, you'll recover sufficient Program Memory that you can start editing your user programs again.

Hope this helps.
Graham

  Hello group.
I’ve recently started using my 2101 again and have been editing some of the patches. It has been working fine and I've been editing away for the past few weeks. But tonight when trying to save some edit changes, I’ve started getting “Out of Program Mamory” message on the display and it won't let me save any changes. I’m not creating any huge or elaborate patches, and I’m mostly just editing the EQ and changing the name of the patch. So is there a "fix" for this? Can memory be added, or should I just do a factory reset and start from scratch? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  Thanks in advance!!
