Hi Rainer: A couple of years ago, I tried writing a Windows-based program that retrieved system dumps from the GSP 2101. I noticed that most PC's had trouble retrieving error-free dumps - some of the data was often corrupted during the transmission. To avoid these data transmission errors, I kept repeating the system dump procedure until I got two dumps that were identical. My suggestion for using any software is that you repeat the system dump procedure and compare the resulting files: 1. Their size should correspond with the number of bytes indicated by the GSP 2101 during the dump. 2. The contents of the files must be identical. You can use the Windows WinDiff command to compare file contents. If you don't have WinDiff.exe on your machine, let me know and I'll send you a copy. Graham Pearson
