Man, this list is as slippery as snot on a brass door knob! Of
course, when a list is run by a manufacturer and they decide to stop
supporting it, it just... goes away without notice. I posted to the
DOD list today and thought "hey, wait a minute... I haven't got a
post from here for eons" (well, millennia anyways ;^).

Is it true that Jeff Beck uses a 2112 (or some 2xxx box) for direct
recording in the studio?

Since when did Digitech stop supporting the 2101 maillist? Wow, that's news
to me. No matter...there are numerous other places to host the list..such
as yahoogroups.... no problemo.

I have about 5 years of back archives of the old list....I'm still trying to
figure out how I can get them uploaded to Yahoo's website.

Well, email the old list and see if it sticks to the wall ;^)

Archives--could be tough. You could perhaps upload zip files to the files
area?

Patches: sorry, I don't remember the URLs, but I know there are plenty of
sites out there--just search the web.

I have tried sending email...they stick but with wrong dates. I've tried
using sendmail too. I might need different options, but I don't think so.
I tried asking them if they would let me send them the files to put up, but
they are not interested in any interaction whatsoever, its considered a
fully automated system. I don't mind having the archives on my website, but
if they go up on yahoo, they instantly become searchable....and there is a
WEALTH of solid information about the 2101 in those archives.... Back in
the day...we covered it all....

One of these days hopefully I'll either make a search CGI script, or else
figure out how to get the archives into Yahoo in searchable format.

As far as patches...I have most of the ones that have been contributed over
the years, though I'm possibly missing a few:

  http://www.bstage.com/gsp_html/ftp/patches/

Speaking of which, does anyone have a sysex dump of a clean factory v3
program set? I'd love to get the factory patches up on the website. Way
back when, we didn't do it since they were deemed "Artist Patches" and
somewhat valuable. But I imagine enough time has gone by to make them
available if anyone has the factory set (unmodified). ??
