Is my GSP2101LE Dead? Help!

Is my GSP2101LE Dead? Help!

2006-12-09 by fekisrat

Hello!!!

I have a LE model and I love it, use it for my main gigging rig.

Anyway I was setting our rehearsal studio up last night after we
played a gig. I noticed that the midi plug on my C-1 was broken. I
didnt really thing about it too much and plugged the midi chord in and
it played fine until I bumped the C-1 then all of a sudden my LE just
stopped making any noise. I powered down, unplugged the midi from the
back of the LE and powered back up and nothing. Now the display is on
but it is blank, the number display reads 888 and all of the other
lights are on as well plus I get no sound.

I replaced the battery and it did nothing. What the hell did I do? Did
I kill my BABY?!?!?!?!?! crap........

Damn dude....sounds like you may have grounded it out. ZAP.
The only thing I can think of is try to do a factory reset. If there is a battery on the circut board that you can easily remove mayve try removing that with the unit unplugged then still with the batttery removed plug it in , turn it on..see if you get anything on the display...try removing the power a couple of times...this works on PC that hae a fucked bios that errors the bootstrap. All things being computerized maybe this'll help..otherwise ...sorry for your loss bro.
