Control One switch replacement

Control One switch replacement

2006-12-29 by dunkin_donut3

I have a Control One where several of the light touch switches are
starting to fail. I've purchased some new ones and they should be here
next week. I've opened up the Control One and it appears that I can
replace these switches without having to remove the PCB. Is this
correct?

The new switches should be four contact snap dome or similar type. You will need to soulder from one side and remove from the other. So if you can do that with out removing the PCB your GOOD. :-) It is easy.

Thanks,

I was sure I could figure it out but just wanted to make sure I wasn't
missing something obvious. I think holding the switch with a
needlenose and desoldering shouldn't be a problem.
