Switching programs with Internal CC pedal causes issues

2007-06-03 by dpguitarman

Hi Folks,
I am new to the group but a long time lover of the GPS2101. I am
looking for some expertise with a problem.

I have created two programs. One doesn't use the GSP2101FC pedal (call
this program A) and another program does use it(call this program B).

Program B is setup to increase the gain on distortion from 3 to 11
while simultaneously reducing the master volume to maintain a
consistent output level. My problem is when I switch from program A to
B.

The pedal is up when I am in program A. I expect to switch to program B
and have all the parameters for that pedal position maintained at the
initial reasonable clean setting up to hot when depressing the pedal.
Unfortunately when I switch to program B the parameters are as if the
pedal was down (or nearly down) unless I just touch it a bit. IT is
almost like it is not reading the initial pedal position when I switch
to B until a touch the pedal.

Any thoughts? Thanks Experts and have a great day! :)

Best Regards,
 Dan

From what I understand this is normal and there is nothing you can do about it.

Thanks for the response, but I find it hard to believe. If that is
true it renders using the FC controller useless when switching
between patches as you can never predict the initial settings on the
switchover. :(

Not blaming you of course, I just wanted to be sure I articulated the
problem clearly.

Best Regards,
  Dan

I may be mistaken, but I believe that if you position the pedal at the
point you would like it and then save the program , it will recall that
position until you move the pedal. In other words, pre set the pedal
position and then store it for that program. Go to another program and
then back, and it should be at that stored position. Hope this helps,
Mark

Thanks Mark. I think I tried that already but I will try again. Maybe
that was the one thing I didn't do. :( I assumed the program would
automatically pick up the pedal position when I switched regardless of
where it is.

Thanks for the tip!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
