Control One programming and reverb

Control One programming and reverb

2007-07-13 by haibaneopera

Hello everyone,

I've bought a gsp recently, and I began to program my own algorithms
but I have a problem with the control one foot controller : when I
assign a parameter to a footswitch, it is assigned to the parameter
for the whole bank and not for the the preset only. For example, if I
assign a parameter to the 6th footswitch in a preset, I can't go to
the 6th preset of the bank by pressing it, it just say "parameter
toggle", even if I'm not in the preset I assigned it in. Is it
possible to avoid this ? I didn't find anything in the owner's manual.
And even if the algorithm is erased, it still says that this
footswitch is assigned, so I don't know how to unlink it.
My second topic is about the reverbs. As you know, they are quite
tricky to configure, even the mfxverb, I only have two kinds of
results : the reverb is too "intrusive" and deep, even with a low
level, or it
sounds too "unnatural". Do you know some configurations to recreate
typical reverbs, like room, hall, plate, etc ? And if you have
interesting reverb's parameters, they are welcome too.

Thank you for your attention.

If you get the parameter toggle, it means you haven't successfully linked the parameter to the footswitch. Make sure you save the save the settings prior to testing. You should also be able to test the link is effective before saving.

Thanks for your answer. But like I said, when I do it this way, the
footswitch is assigned for the whole bank and not only for the preset
itself, so I can't use this footswitch anymore to go to its preset.
I've tried the other way described in the user's manual :
-going into midi menu (instead of utility) and select the footswitch
with the data wheel, and then press store. The symbol that the
parameter is assigned to a footswitch appears, but when I press it, it
doesn't change the parameter, it just change to the corresponding
preset. Did I miss a step ?
Thanks for your help.

Well, after some tests, the only one working well is the expression
pedal, but the footswitches don't work at all via the midid
configuration. I've read the manual again and again but found nothing
that could help me. I'm totally lost...
