Am I the only one who has clipping on stock channels. Especially on program change, and time related effects. I have reduced the levels to nearly nada and still clip, clip clip.

I personally never pay attention to the level or if it is clipping, if it sounds good, who cares? I think the owner's manual even mentions something to that effect about clipping. -Paul --- In gsp-2101@yahoogroups.com, "taj7652" <tj409@...> wrote:

did your 2101 have the XLR fix?? on older models, there was a problem with the XLR outs using the cabinet emulators.. i think the fix was replacing a few caps on the board.. it's possible that it's one of the ones that did not have the fix.. I will have to gig with it or at least heat it up good to see if it's fixed, but the funny thing is I never had this problem before. So I was starting to think that the unit was reaching the end of it's useful life; that capacitors were going bad or something. I sure hope that it's not. I hate to see this thing go, but it was an audible clip. Very dangerous to the speakers, and expensive. > Todd > > To: gsp-2101@yahoogroups.com > From: rish@... > Date: Wed, 10 Feb 2010 15:37:59 -0600 > Subject: Re: [gsp-2101] Clipping > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Are you clipping on the 2101 unit or your mixer/amp? > > I had the same issue when recording...I was using my mixer with the XLR > outs on the back of the 2101 and running with the button on the back in the on + > position. also.. does your 2101 have the PPC upgrade?? it could also be that there is a processor mismatch, and you're getting the "cannon" effect from the mismatch of the SDISC processors.. --- In gsp-2101@yahoogroups.com, "newtlink" <newtlink@...> wrote:
