Hi, I just bought a 2101, including the optional PPC210 (according to the previous owner). I just searched through the old messages here, but still have some questions: Which upgrades make sense to me?: I have sw version 2.00.00 and footcontroller 1.02. What are the benefits and costs? Would you recommend these changes to someone that has only used a soldering iron for very basic applications? Maurice

Congrats on getting the PPC. A software upgrade usually just requires care in prying out the old chips and popping in the new ones (and static precautions). 3.00.00 chips are frequently offered on ebay. Mark

What's the advantage of the 3.00.00 software over the 2.00.00? I've seen some lists, but they did not make sense to me. Do I need the Crystal upgrade as well, or is that one optional?
