What is hush super C? I run a soldano through the effects loop and bypass the preamp portion. My distortion rocks like this. But I can not use any of the 2101 distortion. Made by Rocktron, Noise Reduction System (Hush). Made in rack mounts too. I think the latest one is Super Hush C. Have a Mesa Studio Preamp (very high user ratings)and is a great asset to distortion and tone but extremely noisy. Way to much for my studio environment. Personally, I dont have any excessive noise with my 2101 - and the distortion is very good. Maybe you need to put in some new tubes? Noise is not excessive its just apparent. The gate cuts it out but when holding a note or chord and letting it ring out, there is a backround buzz or hiss. Or you set the Gate too extreme and it cuts out to early. I have only noticed it in certain high gain settings and distortions (sat. tube, ect.) Or on specific Presets with such settings. Cleaner presets seem not to have this problem. Using Parker Fly Deluxe and Gibson SG to Morley Bad Horsie Wah to Gsp2101 Artist Pro. 3.00.00a (stereo) to BBE 882 to Marshall 9200 (4) El34- (4) 6l6 to Marshall 4x12 av with Vintage 30's all running from studio quality Humbuster Line Isolator and Power Conditioner. Looking for High Quality Tube Preamp that is very quiet. Any thoughts/experiance, (Egnater, Soldano, ect.) Thanks.
