Are you trying to talk about the plates sticked to the battery, that comes off WITH the battery(It's making part of it, you didn't scraped the board, just destroyed the old battery)? Now, if it's what I think, use your soldering iron and remove the remaining pins in the holes(Remove the board first) and insert the wires getting out of the new battery in the holes(Any between both on the side that there are two), new same type battery is not a custom made one like the old one.
