Korg Poly800/EX800 Users

OK, you're using the version of firmware just prior to the last one
that I uploaded to the web site.

Also, I put SetGlobalDefaults.syx up their too. You can send that to
you Poly to get it exactly as it would have been for MIDI, omni on, etc.

I recommend you download the new firmware syx files (I changed them
from txt to syx to make it easier for everyone) and flash update your
Poly.

Then when you hold down Prog/Para and Write on power on, you will get
into diags mode.

In diags mode press 2 then write, then press 3 then write. Press
Prog/Para to jump into normal operation (11 P). diag mode 2 and 3 set
your patches and extended patch data to all zero's.

Then download your patches into your Poly using either Tape or Sysex.
 Now your original patch data is in the Poly. But the MG is not going
to be quite right on VCF (because VCF has its own LFO now).

So, go back into diags mode by selecting global parameter 11 set it to
value 26 and press the write key (or use the power on method used above).

Now press 4 then write then Prog/Para. What diags 4 does is to copy
the DCO MG depth and delay into VCF depth and delay.

The process above lets you get your existing patches into the HAWK-800
with the exact same original sound parameters. And LFO1 (the original)
parameters are also copied into LFO2.

I'll write this up into a much more comprehensive document later.
