Re: OT: Hammerfall Questions

2000-03-01 by Gilles Ruppert

Hi Joeri!
First of all thanks for your recommendation of the Hammerfall some months
ago, that card really kicks a***!!:-)) I am using the Asio Driver of the
Hammerfall, and I found now where you can enable the Sample Rate and the
Quantisation within LAPW (never used it before as I had an AW8 on 44.1 kHz),
but I tried the Monitor on Function the Control Panel of the Hammerfall,
but it changed nothing. I now read that the Monitor function works with MME
(which I am not using currently) and ASIO 2.0. But AFAIK, Logic does not
support ASIO 2.0 until Version 4.2 or whatsoever, so is it possible that the
Monitor function with the ASIO drivers does only work if the host programm
supports Asio 2.0?? What are your experiences with the drivers: do you use
the MME or the ASIO drivers? I use the Asio with 16 tracks recording while
playing back 16 tracks: no problem! Is the latency of the MME driver bigger
than with Asio??
Would be nice to get some hints:-))
Cheers,
Gilles
P.S: Do you know a way to synchronize the Hammerfall with the AW8? I tried
to synchronize them via S/PDIF, but it did not work out (Hammerfall Master,
AW8 Slave & Hammerfall Slave, AW8 Master). Any issues??
