Hi Sascha!
Thanks a lot for your Mail: it works now!!
First I switched theAW8 to Digital S/PDIF sync ( I obviously had forgotten
that one:-)), but it didn't work (wrong sample rate recognition etc). Then I
put the sync mode to Free, (although I was a little bit sceptic, I must
admit) but this works great! I recorded about 15 minutes click, copied over
to the AW8 output, let these 15 minutes run parrelell on the 2 devices and
they were not drifting! The sync is not good enough to erase when switching
the phase of one of the 2 devices, but for non stereo signals, the sync is
good enough!!
I think it is quite funny that the "standard"way of synchronizing does not
work, but the "wrong" way does ;-))

P.S: Who would have thought 10 years ago that you can get 16 Input, 24
output Studio with mixing facilities for about 10.000 DM?? :-))
