Indeed. At least, when tuning to A=440.

Not only could, but they _will_ tell you... :-)
Each semitone is: multiply by 2^(1/12) (approx. 1.059463094). So 2
up from A is multiplication by 2^(2/12). This gives low B =
30.86770633 Hz.
Still very low... Only 2 semitones above the lowest pianokey.
BTW, I think it could be argued that the original "somewhere around
27.5 Hz" still is true...
